A Holesome World is the most ambitious and creative project I have worked on to date, and the one I am most proud of. It was born as a class project, in which I proposed to create a videogame where I could walk through myself, unreal and introspective spaces that the player can walk through, learning from them, from their intention.
From the beginning we do not know what our goal is, without being able to do more than explore all possible spaces, until we reach "the exit", the only option we have to leave that place, however unappetizing it may be... The Hole.
As we go through all the spaces, we discover that precisely The Hole is the goal, where we must always reach, the exit to advance... however the spaces play more and more with us, making it difficult to reach it.
As we advance through the spaces, there also appears a kind of omniscient narrator that is manifested through posters distributed by the environment that speaks directly to us. It is interesting how sometimes this narrator could seem to be ourselves, our consciousness that speaks to us.
This project would not have been possible without the help of my great friend and 3D artist Alejandro Diaz, who has done almost all the 3D modeling as well as part of the assembly in Unity and programming for everything to work as it does... A THOUSAND THANKS!
